The status of three closely related Dolichopoda taxa from northeastern Italy has been re-evaluated. Dolichopoda ligustica ligustica, D. ligustica septentrionalis and D. azami azami were studied with a morphological and molecular analysis. The research revealed that all studied populations were very homogeneous, although three geographically divided haplogroups could be recognised. This resulted in a new taxonomic arrangement: all taxa are placed under D. azami: D. a. azami, D. a. ligustica and D. a. septentrionalis
